December 14th, 2015, finds Prof. Cassese in Romania at the end of a year of intense research and training activities in which this Roman heart surgeon has been engaged, and continues to undertake, tirelessly, for years. This time he made a stop at the hospital in Iasi, named after the Romanian physician C.I. Parhon. Here, he held a training session to transfer to cardiac surgeon colleagues the techniques of percutaneous aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in which Prof. Cassese is one of the world’s few proctoring experts.
